Chelsea are looking at alternatives to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Standard Sport.
The Blues have been long-term admirers of the Nigerian star, but it seems unlikely that they will sign him at the end of the campaign.
Osimhen is open to a new challenge away from Naples, but the 25-year-old is said to want the guarantee of Champions League football.
As a result, the Blues look set to miss out on his signature. They are currently a staggering 14 points behind the top four in the league.
Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain seem to be more realistic destinations for Osimhen. The latter see him as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
Napoli recently extended Osimhen’s contract with a huge €130 million release clause and they are expected to hold out for that figure.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have turned their attention to the likes of Ivan Toney and Dusan Vlahovic in their quest to land a marquee striker.
