Chelsea are set to reward midfielder Cole Palmer with a new contract amid his scintillating debut season with the club.
The England international joined the Blues from Manchester City last summer after failing to receive assurances of playing time.
The 21-year-old has been brilliant in his maiden season with 16 goals and 12 assists from just 37 appearances in all competitions.
He is one of the top contenders for the PFA Young Player of the Year award and the Blues are now keen to reward him too.
Palmer is currently on weekly wages of £75,000. He could receive a 100 per cent hike on the back of his stand-out displays.
Chelsea are looking to secure the deal as soon as possible. It could be announced following his return from England duty.
The Blues progressed to the last four of the FA Cup earlier today following a 4-2 win over Leicester City at Stamford Bridge.
Palmer was among the stand-out performers with a goal and an assist.
