Manchester United and Chelsea are keeping tabs on RB Leipzig centre-back Castello Lukeba, according to Foot Mercato.
The Frenchman made the move to the Bundesliga outfit from Lyon for €40m last summer and he has been fantastic for them.
He has caught the eye with his strong distribution, concentration and ability to win ground and aerial duels with aplomb.
His performances have impressed scouts from United and Chelsea, but a deal appears unlikely during the next transfer window.
Lukeba currently has a release clause worth €70m in his deal, but that does not become active until the summer of 2025.
Any interested club must negotiate with Leipzig this summer. As things stand, the German outfit have no desire to sell.
They could change their stance for a significant fee, but it remains to be seen whether United or Chelsea can tempt them.
Both Premier League clubs have financial issues at the moment, and may not be willing to pay over the odds for Lukeba.
