Manchester United could enter the race to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who is also on the radar of Chelsea.
The Red Devils currently have Rasmus Hojlund as their main marksman, and he could have a huge future ahead.
The Dane has netted 13 goals in his debut campaign, and he should only get better with more experience in his bag.
Despite this, the club are ready to invest on another striker, who can provide competition for places next campaign.
With Anthony Martial set to leave on a free transfer, Toney is one of the names being considered by the board.
In his Caught Offside column, Fabrizio Romano said: “Talks are gonna take place internally, Toney will be one of the names available on the market so could be one to watch.”
Toney had a lively start after his eight-month betting ban with four goals in five games at the start of the year.
However, he has failed to score in his next five outings. He will need to improve his form to attract bids.
With his contract expiring in June next year, Brentford could be willing to accept around £60m for his sale.
