Terms of Service — News Broadcaster Live
Effective Date: October 9, 2026. These Terms of Service (these “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you,” “your,” or “User”) and 24World Media (“24World Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), publisher of News Broadcaster Live (the “Site” or “Service,” at newsbroadcasterlive.com). News Broadcaster Live provides live and developing U.S. news — “Live news, as it happens, around the clock.” By accessing, reading, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. The Service
The Service consists of news articles, live-update threads, explainers, timelines, photographs, graphics, and related features published on the Site. Live coverage is inherently iterative: articles concerning developing events are updated, corrected, and expanded as confirmed information becomes available. Timestamps, “developing” labels, and correction notes form part of the published record. The Service is provided for general information and news purposes. It does not constitute professional advice of any kind, and in any emergency you should contact local emergency services and follow instructions from responsible authorities rather than relying on news coverage.
2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service, and you agree to use it only for lawful purposes. You agree not to: (a) use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or related systems, or to probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities; (c) interfere with Site performance — including during high-traffic breaking-news periods — through denial-of-service methods, excessive automated requests, or malicious code; (d) scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect content or user information except as expressly permitted in Section 3; (e) misrepresent your identity when submitting tips or inquiries, or impersonate any person or entity; (f) submit false news tips or doctored media intended to induce erroneous publication; or (g) use the Service to harass, defame, or infringe the rights of others. We may suspend or block access for violations, without prejudice to other remedies.
3. Intellectual Property and Permitted Reuse
All content on the Site — text, headlines, timelines, photographs, graphics, video, layout, and trademarks including “News Broadcaster Live” — is owned by 24World Media or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright and trademark laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and read the Service for personal, non-commercial use. You may share brief excerpts (no more than 90 words or a single headline-plus-summary) with attribution to News Broadcaster Live and a live link to the original article, provided you do not alter meaning. Systematic republication, live-feed mirroring, dataset creation, and use of our content to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models are prohibited without prior written consent. Licensed syndication is available under separate written agreement. You must preserve all copyright, attribution, and correction notices in any permitted excerpt. No license is granted to 24World Media or News Broadcaster Live marks except to identify us as the source of attributed excerpts.
4. User Submissions: Tips, Inquiries, and Materials
When you submit a tip, correction request, inquiry, photograph, video, or other material through the Site (“Submission”), you retain ownership of your Submission, but you grant 24World Media a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to review, reproduce, edit for length and clarity, publish, and archive the Submission in connection with newsgathering and publication, with or without attribution as appropriate to source-protection needs. You represent that you have all rights necessary to make the Submission and that it is authentic and not knowingly false. Submission does not guarantee publication, reply, or payment. Confidential-source designation will be honored in accordance with our Code of Ethics and applicable law, but absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed where disclosure is compelled by valid legal process. Do not submit material you do not have the right to share, highly sensitive personal data of third parties, or content that infringes any copyright, privacy, or other right.
5. Live Coverage, Corrections, and Editorial Standards
Developing stories evolve. We endeavor to verify information before publication, to attribute claims, and to label unconfirmed details, as described on our About and Corrections pages. Subsequent updates supersede earlier versions of a live report; readers should consult the latest version of any article. Confirmed factual errors are corrected in accordance with our Corrections policy, and correction notes form part of the article. Editorial decisions — selection, framing, timing, and removal for legal or safety reasons — rest solely with our editors. Publication of a tip or third-party statement does not constitute endorsement of its truth. Where we embed or link third-party content (official feeds, agency statements, social posts), that content remains subject to its originator’s terms.
6. Advertising and Third-Party Services
The Service may display advertising and sponsored content, which is labeled as such and sold independently of editorial decisions. We are not responsible for advertisers’ products, claims, or landing pages, and your dealings with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser. The Site uses third-party providers for hosting, analytics, content delivery, and advertising; those providers process information under our Privacy Policy and their own terms. Links to external sites are provided for sourcing and convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for external content, availability, or practices.
7. Disclaimers of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that live coverage will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete at any given moment, or available during extraordinary traffic or infrastructure failures; that developing reports will not require subsequent correction; or that the Site will be free of harmful components. Weather, safety, market, and health information is drawn from official and expert sources believed reliable, but conditions change rapidly: always confirm critical decisions with primary authorities.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL 24WORLD MEDIA, ITS AFFILIATES, OR ITS OFFICERS, EDITORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, YOUR RELIANCE ON DEVELOPING COVERAGE, OR ANY SUBMISSION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 24World Media and its personnel from and against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; (b) your Submissions, including any infringement or falsity therein; (c) your misuse of Site content, including unlicensed republication or AI-training use; and (d) your interactions with advertisers or third-party links. We reserve the right to control the defense of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate in such defense.
10. Governing Law, Disputes, and General Provisions
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect, and the unenforceable provision will be reformed to the minimum extent necessary. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement regarding the Service and supersede prior understandings. We may revise these Terms at any time; the revised Terms will be posted here with a new Effective Date, and continued use after posting constitutes acceptance. Assignment by you is prohibited without our consent; we may assign these Terms in connection with a corporate transaction.
11. Availability, Termination, and Survival
We work to keep the Service continuously available, particularly during developing national events, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Site may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, infrastructure failures, extraordinary demand, security measures, or events beyond our reasonable control, and live threads may restart, paginate, or be archived as stories conclude. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service — including alert formats, archives, or syndication endpoints — at any time with or without notice, and we will not be liable for any such change except as required by paid agreements then in force. Your right to use the Service terminates automatically upon breach of these Terms; Sections 3 through 10 survive termination, as do accrued payment obligations and the licenses necessary for us to retain and display the published record of materials already incorporated into our reporting. Archived articles remain subject to our Corrections policy after any termination of your access.
12. Editorial Takedowns, Republication, and Questions
We may correct, update, restrict, or, in exceptional circumstances involving legal obligation, court order, or serious risk of harm, remove published content; material removals are ordinarily noted in place, and our live archive should not be treated as a permanent or immutable record. Requests concerning republication, permissions, or content use should be directed through the Contact page before any reuse occurs, and unauthorized reuse may result in takedown demands and claims for damages. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of reader Submissions beyond the license in Section 4, and nothing limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer-protection law.
